Finnish Symphonic Metal kings NIGHTWISH have received a Gold award for 100.000 sold copies of their newest album “Dark Passion Play” in Germany, within one week after its release end of September! The presentation of the award took place at the “On A Dark Winter´s Night”-Festival in Oberhausen, where NIGHTWISH played a phenomenal gig in front of 6000 fans seriously going crazy! “Dark Passion Play” entered the German album charts on #1, just as it´s predecessor “Once” from 2004. Other awards in the long list are triple platinum in their home country Finland, Platinum in Switzerland, Gold in Sweden, Austria and Poland. NIGHTWISH will release the second single out of “Dark Passion Play” called “Bye Bye Beautiful” on February, 15 as a normal CD and a DVD with clips and specials.
